Problem Description
Cisco Systems VoD (Video on Demand) technology provides self paced streamed video learning programs for the sales force to get updated on Cisco.s offerings. Due to the nature of the web-based offering with non-instructor led self-paced training, the attendee feedback is often lost and the ROI of the VoD is not clear. A closed loop method to capture attendee feedback was not in place.
InfoSTEP Solution
Make the VoD application .feedback enabled. by integrating InfoSTEP's eLustro with Cisco.s VoD.
Using eLustro, the VoD application was repackaged to get feedback from the attendees in real time. Cisco employees would select a VoD presentation from the standard VoD jump page. The user would complete the presentation in either of the presentation formats (Audio or Video & Audio). The user interaction with the application was integrated with eLustro actions so that when the user experienced the VoD content, context-based feedback was automatically captured.
The sequence of events is as follows
User completes VoD presentation by closing out of the VoD.
Upon close, the presenter name and title are passed to the eLustroAPI.
A survey is built from a template for the specific VoD presentation and displayed to the user for completion.
Once completed the survey results are posted to a common VoD survey results URL / page.
Specific analytics on user experience with VoD are provided to field productivity personnel to review the VoD content and make enhancements.
Benefits
The eLustro-VoD integration provides the field productivity team with accurate and timely VoD feedback results. This information is used to improve the quality of VoD content on an ongoing basis to help in enhancing the sales tools.
