Problem Description
Sun Education Services offers several training programs in multiple technology tracks. The web is the primary source of information for prospective students to learn, register and buy these programs. While online registration was a major success, the challenge was to direct the students to the training program or programs suitable for their skills and needs.
InfoSTEP Solution
InfoSTEP converted Sun Education Service web-based registration to a feedback-enabled real time e-guidance system using eLustro.
When prospective buyers select Sun Education tracks, they are prompted with a self-assessment questionnaire. Based on the aggregated response, they are given appropriate learning tracks to buy. The buying decisions and user responses are tracked in the eLustro database.
The sequence of events is as follows
Prospective user who wishes to buy Sun courseware for Solaris Fast Track will select the track from Sun site and click to register.
User will be switched to the eLustro assessment application, which will ask the user to assess their skills by providing context-based content.
Upon user submission, an aggregated score will be computed and user will be given a set of recommendations to choose from. When the user makes a selection, the control is passed to Sun.s shopping cart application.
